Open call for projects
Installations and performances
Submission deadline : June 3, 2016
TOPO, a Montreal-based artist-run centre for new media, launches a new call for projects for its new exhibition window display for small interactive installations and performances.
Who or what can live in the showcase ? How and with what “kind of presence” ? How to think about the notions of interaction and interactivity between the inside and the outside ? How to activate a relationship between the work inside the window and the viewer on the other side, in a hallway ?
For its 2017-2019 program, TOPO will consider proposals for performances and small installations comprised of narrative and performative elements. In particular, ones that foster visual, audio and textual exploration, both in its physical and on-screen forms. For example: poetry readings and interpretations, participative performances, interactive devices, etc.
In order to respect the foreseen deadlines, projects currently under development and those demonstrating a strong commitment from the artists will be given priority. Artists interested in this call, and by the production context offered by TOPO are encouraged to submit their proposals before June 3, 2016.
The Montreal artist-run centre TOPO is a laboratory for digital writings and creations for web, performance, and installation spaces. Its mandate is to incubate, produce, and circulate original multimedia artworks that explore interdisciplinary and intercultural hybridizations in the digital arts.
See the Installations section of the site for further information.
