Open residency :
LopLop
LopLop is a Montreal-based software programming company combining interactivity, augmented and fragmented reality. Since 2018, LopLop focuses on landscape modeling, design and animation of vegetal worlds aimed at generating creative and interactive experiences. A compelling example is the Garden app created for the Montreal Botanical Garden, which allows users to navigate through the seasons and the diversity of plants in the Japanese Garden.
During its artistic experimentation and business development residency at TOPO, LopLop will present its digital tools for creating animated and interactive landscapes from its Natur programming platform. This will be a unique opportunity to discuss possible uses of these digital tools in other contexts.
This residency runs parallel to LopLop’s installation in TOPO’s window display, from August 22nd to September 3rd.
LopLop was supported by the Canada Media Fund (CMF).
LopLop took part in the accompanying program Deep Dive of la Piscine, acceleration of the cultural and creative economy in Quebec.
